This truck is powered by a standard 2.5L full hybrid engine that drives the front wheels only and has an output of 191 horses and 155 Lb-Ft of torque. The engine is tethered to a continuously variable transmission system offering smooth shifting and acceleration. An optional 2.0L EcoBoost engine producing 250 horsepower and 277 Lb-Ft of torque are also available. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and is more potent than the gas-electric hybrid setup.
Maverick prioritizes towing with its Built Ford Tough feature delivering a standard 1500 pounds of payload, a base 2000 pounds in towing capacity, and 4000 pounds when using the all-wheel-drive system. An available F×4 Off-road package is available. This package offers five driving modes (Normal, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Sand, and Mud) that allows you to adjust depending on the terrain and utilities at hand.
